Two Weeks

Paul Kotschy

March 2022

Two weeks ago
A Ukrainian man asked his wife how her day was
And he told her of his.

Two weeks ago
A Ukrainian man said hello to his daughter
And he gave her a hand.

Two weeks ago
A Ukrainian man hugged their gray cat
And beheld his connection.

Two weeks later
I ask my wife, I say hi to our daughter,
And I hug our Kitcat.

Two weeks later
A Ukrainian man hugs his gray cat
And I cry over that. 1
